With more than 20 years of professional experience, Shye brings an operator's perspective to leadership development that few coaches can match. He has worked with Fortune 500 companies, government agencies, startups, and franchise enterprises across aviation, technology, financial services, consumer products, and hospitality. He is a Managing Director at CRA | Admired Leadership®, where he advises senior leaders and teams worldwide.

Shye's leadership approach was shaped by three distinct career paths. As an airline captain and instructor, he developed and delivered leadership, safety, and human factors training to thousands of pilots. As cofounder and CEO of ProJet Aviation, he guided the company from startup through regulatory certification, multiple acquisitions, and a phased exit. These experiences gave him firsthand insight into developing people, building culture, and making consequential decisions in high-stakes environments.

Shye holds an MBA from Georgetown University and a Professional Certified Coach credential through the International Coaching Federation. He also serves as a Professor of the Practice at Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business, teaching organizational leadership, crisis communications, entrepreneurship, and growth strategy to graduate and executive audiences. A sought-after keynote speaker, he has addressed audiences at conferences across the U.S. and internationally.

Based in Northern Virginia, Shye is a member of several nonprofit boards and enjoys playing music, travel, and time with family and friends.
